LOUISIANA FEDERAL OFFERS SCHOLARSHIP
LaPlace, LA – Louisiana Federal Credit Union (LFCU) is proud to announce the 2007 Ronald E. Thomas Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship, established by LFCU, honors the late Ronald E. Thomas for his local and national contributions to the credit union movement. Thomas, who passed away in 2002, was a board member of LFCU for more than 65 years.
The 2007 program will award one $1,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior to help further their education. Members of LFCU that are graduating senior high school students enrolling during the 2007-08 school year at a college, university, or technical school are eligible to apply.
To apply, applicants will be asked to write a short essay on a pre-selected topic. Completed essays must be received postmarked by LFCU no later than Friday, March 2, 2007.
