LOUISIANA FCU Awards $1000 Scholarship to Local High School Senior
LaPlace, LA – Louisiana Federal Credit Union (Louisiana FCU) presented Ashley Brouwer with the 2007 Ronald E. Thomas Memorial Scholarship. Brouwer is a senior at St. Charles Catholic High School. She plans to attend Louisiana State University and pursue a medical degree.
This year’s topic was Money Smarts: How Credit Unions Can Help Today’s Teens.
The scholarship honors the late Ronald E. Thomas for his local and national contributions to the credit union movement. Thomas, who passed away in 2002, was a board member of Louisiana FCU for more than 65 years.
