LOUISIANA FCU AWARDS OUTSTANDING SERVICE AWARDS TO GRADUATES OF EAST ST. JOHN HIGH SCHOOL
LaPlace, LA – On May 15th, Louisiana Federal Credit Union (Louisiana FCU) participated in East St. John High School’s Senior Award Ceremony. Seven graduates were presented with Outstanding Service Awards for demonstrating superior service and dedication as student tellers for the in-school branch of Louisiana FCU.
Each year exceptional members of the Finance Academy are chosen to serve as student tellers. These students commit two weeks of their summer break to a strenuous training session which includes classroom instruction and hands-on experience as a teller.
Two years ago a partnership was created between Louisiana FCU and the Finance Academy at the high school to help students learn the importance of managing their finances. Students and staff are now able to access their credit union accounts without leaving campus during their lunch periods.
Louisiana Federal Credit Union is a full-service not-for-profit financial institution serving over 20,000 members in the River Parishes and Tangipahoa Parish area.
