LaPlace, LA – In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Louisiana Federal Credit Union employees donated over $875 to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. During October, Louisiana FCU employees were encouraged to wear pink attire to work in exchange for a small donation of one dollar per day. More than 90% of the staff participated in the fundraiser.
"Everyone in our community has been touched in some way by breast cancer,” stated Louisiana FCU Marketing Coordinator, Ashley Varnam. “It’s so gratifying to be able to support a cause that is dear to the employees and members of Louisiana Federal Credit Union."
Susan G. Komen for the Cure has invested more than $1.2 billion over the past 26 years, towards saving lives, empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and fulfilling a promise to end breast cancer forever.
