Scholarship

Ronald E. Thomas Memorial Scholarship

The scholarship honors the late Ronald E. Thomas for his local and national contributions to the credit union movement. Thomas, who passed away in 2002, was a board member of Louisiana Federal Credit Union for more than 65 years.

Thinking about college and the expenses tied to it? Would $1000 help you? Then take a moment and apply for Louisiana Federal Credit Union's 2008 Ronald E. Thomas Memorial Scholarship.

In order to participate in this scholarship program, you must be a graduating high school senior that is also a member of the Credit Union. This year, we want to hear what you have to say about the following topic:

Today many young adults and teens use MySpace, Facebook, or other social media outlets to communicate. In your opinion, explain why the Credit Union should or should not use these methods to attract this age group.

Your response should be between 400-500 words in length. Please include a cover sheet with your name, telephone number, address, high school name and telephone number. E-mail your entry to scholarship@louisianafcu.org or mail it to:
