This scholarship honors the late Ronald E. Thomas for his local and national contributions to the credit union movement. Thomas, who passed away in 2002, was a board member of the Credit Union for more than 65 years. Thomas was a forward thinker, an optimist, a successful visionary recognized for who he was, which led us to this year’s topic:
“What makes you an exemplary citizen, student, or person that should be the recipient of the 2010 Ronald E. Thomas Memorial Scholarship?”
In order to participate in this scholarship program, you must be a high school senior of the Class of 2009 or 2010 that’s a member of Louisiana FCU or eligible for membership. Your essay should be between 400-500 words in length. Please include a cover sheet with your name, telephone number, address, high school name and telephone number.
