Louisiana FCU is now accepting entries for the 2011 Ronald E. Thomas Memorial Scholarship Program. One essay will be selected as the 2011 scholarship recipient and receive $2000.
This year’s topic focuses on ‘local community.’ Today’s young adults are making a significant impact on their own local communities: from volunteering for a charitable cause to grass root efforts that prompt change. What would you do to make your community a better place to live?
How to Participate:
• Must be a high school senior of the Class of 2011
• Must be a member of Louisiana FCU or eligible for
membership
• Complete an essay between 400–500 words in length
• Include a cover sheet with your name, phone number,
address, and high school name
E-mail your entry to scholarship@louisianafcu.org. All essays must be received by December 1, 2010. The recipient will be chosen and notified in January 2011.
