Some of us are bad with names, but most of us recognize faces or logos. I can surely tell you that Louisiana FCU is recognized in our community.
I am often stopped by people in the grocery store, Wal-Mart, or even at the hair salon, by someone who will say, “You’re that lady from the Credit Union”, a phrase that I get a kick out of since I am usually wearing my uniform shirt. I love hearing from members, even while out and about.
One particular day, I was shopping with my young son (who is 21 now). I was approached three times by various members. One member asked about our loan rates, another wanted to express thanks for approving her first car loan, and yet another just wanted to say hello. My son was getting restless since he wanted to get to the toy aisle. He finally said, “Mom, are ya’ll THAT important?” I simply told him, “Yes son. We help people and people help us. That’s why I am able to buy you a toy today.” He was satisfied with that answer.
So if you're ever out and about in the community and run into a Credit Union employee, be sure to stop and tell us hi. We'd love to hear from you... because YOU'RE important.
