Saving Dimes and Time

The other day I did an astonishing thing to my five year old daughter’s hair… I cut it! Well, not all of her hair, just her bangs. Since she was a toddler, my daughter has had a very traditional bob styled haircut with short bangs. It is so precious on her, but requires maintenance often. In a busy household with two working parents, it is hard to get much done, nonetheless, to schedule a visit to a hair salon as fast as her hair requires. I am by no means a hairstylist, and I truly respect the art that it entails....

Financial Wisdom for Millennials

My dad always told me, “Tell your money where to go or your money will tell you where to go.” What he was referencing here was getting on a strict budget and not living from paycheck to paycheck. He encouraged me to divide my income down to the penny and to apply each percentage to all of my financial needs. Here is how I try to achieve financial success as a 25-year old college graduate. Saving for the Holidays… ALREADY

Every year Christmas approaches very quickly. I love to shop, but I don’t love having to come up with such a large amount of money during the holidays. As my husband and I transition from struggling college students to married graduates, and trying to start our own family, we find ourselves stuck in the grey area or what you would call limbo. Beginning this new life with brand new careers, we are extremely excited to start looking to...

What are you saving for?

It was a very casual, lazy afternoon when my five year old daughter came out of her room dressed to impress! She was head to toe in sparkles from her yellow sparkle tutu, to her princess heels, and a glittery fairy wand in her hand. “Mommy!” she exclaimed from the living room to the kitchen where I emptying the dishwasher. “Let’s have a tea party!” Smiling from ear to ear, I granted her request and she ecstatically ran to her room to grab her “fine china” pink tea set. As I was putting the dishes away in the cabinet, I looked...
